What is a Doula
A doula is a supportive, encouraging presence dedicated to helping you feel safe, informed, and empowered throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Unlike a doctor, nurse, or midwife, a doula doesn't preform medical tasks - instead she provides emotional grounding, comfort techniques, advocacy support, and continuous guidance.
A doula's role is to hold space for you and your partner so your birth can unfold with confidence and peace. A doula does not replace your partner. Instead, she helps enhance their support by giving them tools, confidence, and direction. Together, we become a team - so your partner feels empowered to fully show up, and you feel surrounded by unwavering support.
